    Zionsville resident, Zack Grauberger will be reading Robert Service's poem "The Cremation of Sam McGee on Friday, February 6th at 7:00pm.  This poems if often read aloud at public venues due to its great rhythm, its rhyme and the astonishing story it tells.  Zach will cast 'the spell of the Yukon' upon the audience with his voice alone.  Event is free.

    To commemorate the 70th anniversary of World War II ending, award winning author, Dan Wakefield will be signing his newly revised book, Under the Apple Tree which portrays what it was like to live in middle America home front during World War II.

    Dwight Ritter - author photoGUW cover artHoosier born and raised author, Dwight Ritter will be signing his first book, "Growin' Up White' on Thursday, October 29th at  Black Dog Books.  Set in Indianapolis during the 1950's the author's book tells a heartfelt story based on his own childhood experiences in a mostly black neighborhood.  It is also the story of Georgey, their quirky black housekeeper imbued with strong opinions, extra doses of homespun religion, and a fierce love for their family.  Georgey shapes who they are on both matters of the heart and of race.  The author lives in Cape Cod.

    The author will give a talk at 7:00PM  Refreshments will be served.

    Don Knebel, travel writer for the Current Newspaper, will be signing his new book, "Flushed With Curiosity" at Black Dog Books on Saturday, Nov. 7th from 2 - 4pm.  He will show slides and speak about Cuba at 3PM.  Annie Rogers, of Zionsville Travel will provide information on travel to Cuba.  Don has traveled all over the world with his wife Jen to interact with the world's people and learn about their customs and their religions.  Don is an Indpls. lawyer, a law professor, speaker and civic leader.  Come meet Don and Annie and enjoy some Cuba snacks!
