Zionsville resident, Marianne Doyle will be signing copies of a book she published titled Bonnie Knoll The Tale of a Home that Grew, at Black Dog Books on Saturday, September 24th from 1:00 - 3:00pm.  Bonnie Knoll is the remarkable and authentic story of Marianne and Guinn Doyle's beautiful Civil War era home that sits upon a hill in the village.  The story comes from a manuscript by previous owner, Grace Monroe, who lived in the house from 1922 to 1963.  It recounts the Monroe's restoration, remodeling, interior design, farm-to-table cooking, gardening and urban homesteading while at Bonnie Knoll.  It resonates with warmth and wit.  Bonnie Knoll is a jewel about a Zionsville home that continues its history with the Doyles as its present owners.

Rosaleen Crowley will be reading from her new book, img_5528  Point of Connection. This book of poetry and paintings reflects her Irish culture and poetic heritage.  Rosaleen's Irish heritage inspires her love of water, trees and open spaces.  Her interest in poetry and drama influence her passion for painting.  She writes a poem for each of her paintings.  She paints in oil and acrylics.  "Painting is silent poetry and poetry is painting with a gift of speech." Simonides (556BC-468BC).

Rosaleen experiences life through a physical and spiritual connection to Irish and American culture via her dual homes in Cork Ireland and Carmel, Indiana.  The rich focus in both communities on education and the arts makes it easy.

She will speak on Ireland's rich culture and heritage, the two cultures coming together, and the legacy of tradition and values to the next generation.  Rosaleen will also share some stories.

Please join us!  And feel free to call and reserve your copy of the beautiful book, Point of Connection. (317)733-1747.  Refreshments will be served.  erwqc_q8
