Here is your chance to hear a fascinating story about collecting Jane Austen books from the owner of an amazing Jane Austen Book Collection, Dr. Brad Legge. He will speak to us about his Jane Austen Book Collection, at 3PM, Sunday, October 13th at Black Dog Books (115 S. Main Street in Zionsville).
Dr. Legge comes from Wales, and has lived in the United States since 1997. He’s a doctor and has practiced in Indiana for 16 years.
He has been collecting Jane Austen rare books for the last 25 years. His collection includes English, French and American first editions. His collection also includes many pictorial Victorian editions. Two years ago he donated a very rare French first edition of Jane Austen’s Persuasion to the Jane Austen House Museum in Chawton, England.
