Join us for a book signing for a tree on Saturday, November 23rd with local author, Ruby Hovda.  Ruby will be signing copies of her children's book, Tom the Listening Tree.  Ruby's book tells the story about a majestic yellow maple tree that lived in the heart of Zionsville's historic village in Serenity's patio/garden.  The tree was ancient and one of only a few left in Indiana.  It witnessed many events throughout its lifetime.  Ruby's book, tells the story of what the tree witnessed and experienced throughout its lifetime.  A strong wind took Tom down a year ago and it landed on the Brick Street Inn next-door.  Luckily no one was harmed.  Many wonderful things have been made out of Tom's trunk and branches to memorialize Tom's life.  These items are on display right where Tom spent his life on Main Street in Zionsville.  You will need to read the book to find out what was made from Tom and what the items symbolize about Zionsville's history.  Ruby works at Serenity greeting the guests.  She is a retired teacher and enjoys living in Zionsville near her grandchildren.

This event is free and light refreshments will be served.  Call 317-733-1747 to reserve your copy.
