Hoosier born and raised author, Dwight Ritter will be signing his first book, "Growin' Up White' on Thursday, October 29th at Black Dog Books. Set in Indianapolis during the 1950's the author's book tells a heartfelt story based on his own childhood experiences in a mostly black neighborhood. It is also the story of Georgey, their quirky black housekeeper imbued with strong opinions, extra doses of homespun religion, and a fierce love for their family. Georgey shapes who they are on both matters of the heart and of race. The author lives in Cape Cod.
